Do I need the app?
To book, no — you can browse yards and book right here on the web, and that's not going away. To get in, yes: your gate code is in the GateHog app, on your booking, once payment clears. The app is also faster if you park regularly: yards and rates without signing in, booking in about a minute from the cab, and every booking with its code and confirmation in one place. It's free on iPhone and Android.
Do I need an account to book?
Yes. You sign in with your phone number and we text you a code — there's no password. Your bookings and renewals live in that account, and your gate code is on the booking in the GateHog app once payment clears.
How does the gate code work?
Once payment clears, your gate code is on your booking in the GateHog app. Punch it into the keypad at the gate.
Daily, weekly, or monthly — what should I pick?
Daily is best for a night or two between loads. Weekly suits a layover or a job across town. Monthly is usually the cheapest per-day rate for a home base. Each yard sets its own rates for the terms it offers, so compare on the yard's page.
Can I cancel?
A reservation you haven't paid for cancels immediately from your bookings page. Once a booking is paid, cancelling files a request we review and come back to you on — it isn't instant, and we'll tell you what applies to your booking.
What sizes fit?
Compact up to 20 ft (cars, pickups, motorcycles), Standard 21–30 ft (box trucks, bobtail trucks, small RVs), Large 31–53 ft (trailers, reefers, large RVs) and Extra large 54–75 ft (truck and trailer together). Not every yard offers every size — the yard's page lists what it takes.
Is my vehicle insured while parked?
No — we're not an insurer, so keep your own coverage.
What if the yard I want is full?
Check the nearby yards on the locations page — availability moves daily. If nothing close works, get in touch and tell us the corridor you need.
